Lady Z's presentation of the "Sissy Sisters In Concert" proved again that she puts on some of the most innovative and best costumed shous around. The show starred 2 and Orca with able assistance in both song and dance by Jin and Bill. The shou was long with a total of sixteen numbers divided into three acts. The costumes vore lavish as we have come to expect from Lady Z and hor director Jim Scott.
Act 1 consisted of six numbers many of which were new to Cleveland bar patrons who are used to seeing the same numbers performed over and over by different fonale impersonators. Standouts wore the opening number "No Mozart Tonight" performed by Z and Orca, "Pineapple Princess" featuring Orca, and "If My Friends Could See Me Now" with 2, Jin and Bill.
Act 2 was also six numbers with the best ones being "Big Spender" with Z, Jia and Bill and "The Suan" featuring Z and Bill in a rollicking takeoff of Suan Lake. Z also unveiled a new leather studded dress in this act. How she could move in all that leather makes you wonder?
Act 3 had four very interesting and different numbers. "The Ladies Who Sing With The Band" featured Jim and Bill in a straight duet. "Yacht Club Swing" with Z and "Cash For Your Trash" with Orca vere slightly different than the normal fare you see in Z's performances, but were both very entertaining. As in most cases, the best was saved for last with a delightful rendition of the Black musical number "Ain't Misbehavin". The last number featured the whole cast and was definitely a very good finish to a good shou.
Another interesting note to the evening were sono facto prosented about Lady 2. This was her TWENTY THIRD shou and in all of then she has spent about $35-40,000 on costumes! Nou that's really a closet case. In addition Z thanked Duane, who's celebrating his 13th Anniversary at the 620 and the rest of the staff at the 620, including Joe and Estelle for all thoir help over the past twenty-three shows.
